I’ve started two of these now and not finished either. This shows me I haven’t properly developed the product as the whole point was to be a rapid-fire dagger through the heart of garbage propaganda-as-news like I have done for years on X. I don’t want to do it in thread-form anymore, for a handful of reasons. I’ll explain more what the project is about in 2025-1, but I want to just let this one rip…
I was doing as often do and jogging through The Truman Show sewers of our MSM news to see what our populace is being barraged with today. This is THE front-page story on one of our most central “news networks” on arguably the most important story in the world right now. I knew as soon as I saw this phrasing that we had another turd on our hands.
“Trump’s false claims”, as if established by The Science. Zelensky proclaiming that Trump is “living in a disinformation space”. Oh, boy! So I of course drilled in. I’d usually give an archived link, but this screenshot below is the entire article. The entire ‘news report’. I’m serious. There is such little print here because there is no news story here. This is just Zelensky’s scene in a political soap opera.
The whole thing - and I mean, the entire basis for the leading story on “Our Most Trusted Name In News” - is the opening sentence there. That Trump “falsely accused Ukraine of starting the war with Russia”. Ok, quite conclusive language again. Where is this coming from. Flips over rock…
Ahh, their entire basis comes from a piece by the one and only Stephen Collinson. I’ve ripped this guy so many times. He is the epitome of “fake news”, of “My Truth!”, of “clear-eyed coverage”, of mass-mania producing BlueAnon as frontpage news every day across our legacy apparatus. You know as soon as you see that face that you are entering the world of propaganda, where 2 and 2 equal 5. So how did they construct this narrative that then became the sole basis for front page news right now on a story that couldn’t be more important for our people to understand? I pasted just portions of his article below (link to full above).
(CNN) — It looked like things couldn’t get any darker for Ukraine. Then President Donald Trump spoke up.
After cutting President Volodymyr Zelensky out of the first US talks with Russia on ending the war, Trump on Tuesday falsely accused Ukraine of starting a conflict that has ravaged its land and killed thousands of its people.
And Trump’s attack on Zelensky, who was hailed as a hero in the United States for resisting Russia’s Blitzkrieg on Kyiv early in the war, was a graphic sign of how the new American administration has reversed Washington’s stance of supporting the victim of the invasion and is now rewarding the aggressor.
At Mar-a-Lago, he also tried to reinvent the facts around Russia’s invasion three years ago, when Putin’s forces rolled across the border of an independent, sovereign democracy and redrew the map of Europe.
“Today I heard, ‘Oh well, we weren’t invited,’” the president said, referring to Ukraine’s complaints that it’s not been allowed to take part in the nascent peace process. “Well, you been there for three years. You should’ve ended it after three years. You should’ve never started it. You could’ve made a deal,” he said.
In essence, the president seems to be suggesting that the Ukrainians should have made an agreement with Russia to avoid the invasion — which, in practice, would have involved submitting to a puppet government in Kyiv loyal to Moscow or simply giving up fighting to hand a win to Putin.”
It’s incredible. So, the front-page news today which proves Trump (and anyone who doesn’t blindly support anything-Zelensky and scream “Slava Ukraini!”) exists within a “disinformation space” is a six-word segment of a much larger (and accurate) quote they cite by referencing to one of their star’s Days Of Our Democracy stars? This shit would make Orwell blush. Reminds me a lot of Charlottesville, which is still echoed all these years later within the same spheres even though “fact-checks” had to come out proving it was all Hatecraft so they could evidence no media bias. There is no news story here… even though it’s THE top story on arguably our top news channel. What does this tell you about everything you know from these outlets? 2020 never goes down if we had this one communication node to push back

This is a Skewering The News!, not a Ukraine piece. But unlike most paid to report to our people, I’ve fleshed my take on our involvement in that theater out in detail. Way beyond slogans, hashtags, and digital sunflowers.
