The current state of Scientific American
Our institutions are consumed by The Same Thing ideology.
Sadly, this is real…
And sadly, this is its Editor in Chief…
"To dismiss the almost certain breaking down of their bodies as just part of the game is a process of objectification and commodification ... The anti-Blackness of the system is inescapable." Important analysis of football from @tracie_canada on @sciam
You didn’t need this derangement to know how gone this once-important journal is though. This was from them too…
“The Same Thing” is eating minds…
Below is what inspired this rant. Sean is a brilliant academic mind. And yet he calls out a biologist for saying the reproductive process determines male/female and drops this chart as "Actual science" instead. What?!?😵💫 There's a mushroom in that dome now
Sean Carroll @seanmcarroll
Moneyshot:
This is the editor in chief of @sciam, one of my favorite satire sites.
Laura Helmuth @laurahelmuth
Chad is absolutely correct here:
I wrote a thread about this, why leftists specifically want to attack sports…
It's so gross how our sanctimonious left is manufacturing sports into another moralizing engine. You won't find too many leftists in sports jerseys, and there's a reason for that. Sports is the ultimate uniter. It erases boundaries that identity ideologues require like vitamins.
There is an obvious reason why they want to take away and taint the magical bond of sports. Pull it all back into their same sphere of moralizing and control. Make it just another organ of social-engineering, like athletic ESG.
Because sports unites US.
Theo Jordan @Theo_TJ_Jordan
That’s why they do this…
And this…
"Freedom of expression is for diversity and inclusion; choose the country, choose the consequences; liberal order under unprecedented challenge; force fans to consider more than score; "sports washing"; anti-racism campaigns: Black players; conservative fans; Donald Trump." 😵💫
. . .
So many former publications of stature have succumbed to this ideology. National Geo, Popular Science, and for awhile now, Scientific American to name just a few. Whether they call it deconstructing science or 'correcting' the historical record, it all boils down to forcing the new ideology on the public. Hard 'Science' involves objective truth and provable hypothesis, not made-up Wokey jargon, and useless DEI tenets.
