A leading article on CNN this morning…
CNN's pet doctor, Jonathan Reiner, tells his audience of millions:
It remains most likely, however, that Hamlin’s cardiac arrest just seconds after absorbing Higgins’s hit, was the result of “commotio cordis”.
But that is nothing but bare propaganda. It's disinformation designed to herd and hide, to prevent public scrutiny of a critical topic of public importance. A critical topic of public-health! No, it doesn’t remain “most likely” that such a very small hit (in the context of football) caused a healthy young athlete in top shape's heart to stop. That remains insanely unlikely today, just as it did the moment it happened. It would be Powerball-odds for such a thing to have occured from that hit alone in a sport that has hits every weekend like this one below and has NEVER had a single case of commotio cordis occur in its 100+ year history.
When commotio cordis has occurred in sports, it's been from sports involving projecticles like baseball, hockey and lacrosse. Not to a defender making a tackle who gets the displaced force of a hit from a runner's shoulder onto his upper-torso which is further displaced by literally body armor built for this purpose.
Is it “possible” that commotio cordis alone caused his heart to stop? Sure. Somebody won the Mega Millions this weekend, right? But what is much MUCH more likely is that his heart was already weakened from something. When commotio cordis occurs in those projectile-based sports it happens at a significantly disproportionate level to youth. Because their hearts are not as formed and strong. It also has a higher prevalance with a previously-damaged heart. Healthy people don’t drop from heart failure after making tackles in football. Period. And that’s a fact, as in, it’s never happened before.
So what is “more likely”: that Damar hit astronomical odds for the first time in football's history, or some other factor was at play here? And considering Damar's team made a big public thing out of pushing vaccinations and announcing that they were all vaxxed, interplay with the vaccine is an obvious possibility and one public-health demands we explore. This is the critical tension to press down on here: we aren’t demanding everyone accept that it WAS the vaccine. We're asking that this obvious possibility be explored. But as is almost always the case with this sanctimonious and controlling left, that doesn’t flow both ways. No, their demand is that we automatically accept the agenda-serving explanation without any scrutiny at all (one that is directly anti-medicine and anti-science as commotio cordis is a negative diagnosis, it is the diagnosis after all others are ruled out, but we have Medical Twitter making that diagnosis off a video clip just hours later?!?), and whip up fervor to have investigation of all other possibilities suppressed and labeled as wrong and ghoulish. And then, amazingly, they call that “Just trying to save lives!”.
So why are CNN's doctors telling us the sensical is wrong to ask and the impossible immediately proven? Why are we being labeled ghouls for asking screamingly-obvious questions of great public importance?
