A conflation of thoughts hit me at once and I decided to share them here in long-form rather than as another X thread. I intend to start doing that more as this moment represents a pivot for me. The chain started off this video; human joy captured in a clip. Such a simple joy too.
I watched that video back with Gummi’s OP and it grabbed the Daddy inside of me so hard it almost knocked me over. There are so many precious layers. How cute that little rascal is in his cammo jammies. How important it was to him to get that hug from dad before he was gone for the day. His little guy charged out that door like it was an Army mission! The nonchalant way the average dude got out of the truck. He was leaving his little wonderland, his personal castle, to go grind again like he probably does every damn day. Based on how genuinely he smiled under that gruff when his boy asked for a hug, I am certain that man prefers his home life over his work life. He just doesn’t see them as mutually exclusive. I LOVED the hug! The way he clung around his daddy like a monkey. The way his father held him and kissed his head. I teared up the first I watched that. I kiss my kids’ head the same way before I put them down. It’s such a human video. That emotion that hits you (assuming you’re able to pickup the frequency) is so pure and grounded. It isn’t erratic like excitement or unbridled like anger. It’s the opposite of those. Then the way that kid makes sure his little creature gets some dap too. Dad points; the circuit completes; happiness abounds! That man’s head was full of joy as he pulled down that street… until he pulled into work.
“Joy”. That’s another of those really important words that got taken captive, held hostage, abused and manipulated to please goals that have nothing to do with its definition. Hate, disinformation, racism, progress; there have been so many of those words. The first thought that beamed to me was an optimism that this moment happening right now is going to lead to us as a greater people looking more inward, returning more inward. This parallels with an anti-celebrity sentiment I’ve been casting; the hope our people stop making role-models out of such empty fools. The overriding sense now of changing of the guard. Our citizens must look inside their walls for joy again, not just focus on ways they want the world to change. For the former is often the arbitrator of life’s joy, and the latter often a fiendish and foolish pursuit. But that’s what “political Joy” became, isn’t it? Man, I’ll tell you what, it sure as hell wasn’t presenting as joy. No more than various other things present as “care”. You feel me? I don’t want to pound politically here. The point of this piece is that my need to chop so hard day in and day out is over now. Yes, the work only now begins. But the objective in front of us has changed.
I want to help our people refocus to where true joy is found. In that spirit, I intend to make some changes myself. Digital-me, I mean. The IRL dude writing this figured out the path to life’s joy quite a while ago now. I write so passionately because I feel a nation in need. Like COVID, much I do is crafted to impact elsewhere or inspire others. My kids weren’t being forced to take experimental needles they didn’t need. But I fought like hell because I knew yours were! Our state has the best schools in America, but many of yours are in shambles. I knew this Truman Show capture and postmodern madness would consume everything if we didn’t start holding some lines. I tend to believe the actions of us Floridians were central to the entire pushback. I don’t think Trump wins last week if we didn’t start going Braveheart back in 2020. “I had to be able to tell my kids I did something”. I did; I can; I have. I’m tired of chopping. Don’t get me wrong, I won’t be putting my blades away. They are the sharpest they’ve ever been and have some prices they want to exact. But I’ve largely been on a daily campaign targeted out wide. Screaming at the wind, if you will. I knew we needed to move the needle of momentum, nationally. We don’t anymore. Now we operate from the majority. This ends every tentacle of their Moral Majority myth. It really ends every aspect of their Hatecraft propaganda. But I’ll get there…
I’ve always mixed in writings about family and my kids, marriage and foundations, manhood and friendship, local energies and good-life vibes. But now I want to try and make those front-and-center. Those who sprung up inside this grassroots pushback put a lot of relentless energy into highlighting the bad. It was needed; hell, our own government and news outlets and every institution and even our schools were commanding that everything no matter how batshit crazy was to be progress and science. That of course made any and every form of opposition into disinformation and hate. We are witnessing the grotesque collapse of that now. Something that should have begun years ago; something that would have if these powers hadn’t first captured our media. None of this ever gets here without the Fourth Estate being crumbled. The Long March was bigger than just academia. But most of us also bring a lot more to the table. I’ve written before about the intense unity that has formed across America in response to this capture and coercion. That unity is what painted the electoral map red. It’s the energy I wrote about that only showed up in Florida back in 2022. Within this new sphere are some truly remarkable people! I have pinch-me moments every day at the realization of what has formed. At the sincere flattery I feel to be part of it; the honor being a fiber in its construction. But what’s so exciting and what I’m getting at here is this is a new stage now. We don’t have to swing that axe every day. We’ll need to and we will, but we have our own canvas now.
Our youth are hungry for something more! Something lighter and rooted, not radical and angry. I called a leftist-looking teenager “ma’am” at a drive-thru earlier this year (out of habit, this is just how I roll) and everything about her changed in an instant. Her drabby demeanor perked up, even her posture changed. She felt good being spoken to as a professional, even though she was serving espresso. I’ve heard Clifton Duncan commanding for an “American Renaissance” of the arts. I couldn’t agree more! From using our platforms to highlight such energies more, to using our pens and minds to pushing out this messaging, it is time for us to model the good. It is our moment to be leaders for this nation, role-models for our youth, and creators for our communities. Like the energy in that clip at the top, these vibes are drawing people in now. They are drawing people home.
A connected aspect to this is the collapse of Hatecraft. I use that term (which I broke down in detail with Benjamin Boyce once) to generally describe the approach of wrapping an agenda around propaganda re morality and hatred. The art-form turns one side of a policy argument into The Moral and its opposition becomes The Monster. You can run right down the line of the Progress(ive) agenda and see how every front was laced with Hatecraft. Absent this coercive approach, I’m not sure any of it gets legs. And I recognize I’m using absolute language there, but really think about it. The end-game goal of Hatecraft is to shut off critical-thinking. If what my team wants “Ends racism”, then of course everyone has to support it. Same if it “Saves the Earth” or “Protects our democracy”. We are the good guys, they are the bad guys, and you need think no further. This wicked population-level coercion was constructed down two channels…
First, is the capturing and control of our institutions. But-for academia turning insane, our professors pushing Marxist oppression-phantasma, and then 2 or 3 generations of graduates filling all of our managerial class, a majority of the Progress(ive) agenda never begins in substance at all. Analyze this down the vein of transactivism. Let’s take two prominent examples and set them on the table: “trans men” playing in women’s sports and being housed in women’s prisons and shelters. In each case, the population at large would not have accepted the explanation that certain men dubbed “trans” have a mental-health condition whereby they feel more comfortable living as the opposite sex, and to accommodate this emotional fragility we are going to upend every sex-based law and categorization we have so those men can fully live as women in our society. Not a chance in hell this gets accepted at large in any locale in America, even the deepest blue. It was only because The Science first said those men are actually human females who were “born in the wrong body” that this ever began as a serious change in operations and policy. But-for this dogmatic conclusion from FrankenFemmes in our institutions, no one is cheering on Lia Thomas as the NCAA female swimming champion. Every functioning mind is instead saying “WTF happened to the NCAA and why is this madness taking place?!?”. The horse was the capture, the insane policy followed as the cart. Same with men going into battered women shelters because they claim to be one. Or the ACLU fighting to keep “trans men” in female prisons. The ACLU was a champion org to most women’s rights groups our entire lives. Just consider how upside-down that is. 2 + 2 = 5
Then the captured media constructed the Hatecraft narratives from this framework. “Repressive Tolerance”. What this means is we set the radical new benchmark, frame it as established by science and new laws of nature we are all to follow, and then you paint any pushback (from this new transformational standard!) as wrong, and hatred, old fashioned and oppressive bigotry (to Progress). This is used over and over; wash, rinse, repeat. These are the tactics of Saul Alinsky in Rules for Radicals. It’s the slow-boil and it erupted in 2020! I think that’s because plans were accelerated by a shock Trump win in 2016, but that’s for another piece. They built two pincers from this: “the highly educated” and the Moral Majority.
The first was of course a creature of these same academic zealots. Culturally, we have been brainwashed to believe that the Holy Grails of life development are academic and professional credentials. If someone (particularly a woman) has a half-dozen degrees, they are winning! That they’ve been in school their entire life and have produced nothing but a PhD didn’t seem to factor into this calculus at all. Thought widgets were elevated to utmost societal importance. Meanwhile, the producers of societal widgets with the most utility were defamed and demeaned. Don’t think so? What is the cultural status of oil workers? Cops? Soldiers? How often was “highly educated” and “the uneducated” used as a polling measure? The moralizing left became obsessed with it! Most are still rigorously bound to this worldview today, as we’re seeing present in disgusting fashion this week. Lots of people are genuinely convinced the result only happened on Tuesday because more than half of America are racist Monsters. I wish I was making that up, but we’re seeing it everywhere. We see it across our journo and news sphere, which is makes it all so much worse. Also tells the story, of course. These are the same outlets who have a difficulty reporting around Thanksgiving and the 4th of July because the Equity agenda requires America to be an oppressive shithole.
The myth of the Moral Majority died last week. When we’re finally allowed to conduct a proper postmortem and have intellectual honesty at the public surface again, I suspect we’re going to find this never had a basis in reality. Like the race stats, like the gender science, it will prove to have been nothing more than Truman Show bullshit. A distortion of reality run by this same minority (often fringe) sect of our society that somehow usurped an Orwell-like level of control. But critically, the entire Hatecraft quiver is built of this. The reason you were wrong for not supporting “transing” children is because The Science said its real, all Good People agree, and you are in a radical racist minority that hates Progress if you do not. Queering education? Same thing. Disrupting the nuclear family? Yep. Only a dwindling minority of bigots who preach Great Replacement Theory believe in championing that. FrankenFemme and Smash The Patriarchy are rules of nature, but Christianity is an old ailing myth that has no place in the public domain. None of this was ever true. It definitely didn’t carry a majority anywhere in America. Well, except for college campuses and inside the Team Progress administrative web. There it reigned supreme! It kicked everything else out as heresy in the name of “Inclusivity”. It’s a living tragedy that they were able to run this game to such a level. Down here in Florida we got pummeled with this Hatecraft! From every direction for several years in a row. A very chill state was painted as racist by the NAACP and Obama. One of the most culturally-cool states in the US for gay people was painted as unsafe by the HRC - by which I mean both the Human Rights Campaign and Hillary Rodham Clinton.
But the Hatecraft propaganda doesn’t make sense anymore. Well, it never did, but it can’t carry water logically anymore. No, we were not hateful or racist or bigoted because we don’t want for our families what you want for yours. No, we weren’t antivaxxers who wanted to kill the elderly and steal hospital beds because we didn’t give our children repeated injections for a virus that never had them at significant threat and most already had. YOU were wrong here; you were the fascists you kept telling us you were fighting. This hysterical we-keep-you-safe narrative (deployed by every tyrant the Earth has seen) just doesn’t hold anymore in this “hate” context. Who of this empathy troop cried “hate” when we were attacked as white supremacists ans bigots and even Nazis for daring to object to unbridled Progress? Nowhere did this get more vile than how the same attack began openly going after Christianity. Are you keeping us safe by combating the church? We still have that beast in front of us to slay, almost in full. “Critical Christ Theory”, same assault as all the other Critical Theory (Marxist) inspired attacks and efforts to “dismantle” using state hand and cultural seizure. A solid 50% of Progress-types within the X space are dropping “Christian Nationalism” right now after this election. Every single step that we now take to unwind this Equity madness will be dubbed right-wing fascism and Christian Nationalism. I did a recording on this...
That’s textbook Repressive Tolerance. Somehow it wasn’t descending fascism when porn books were required to be in our public-schools for Progress, but it becomes that when pissed-off parents move to take them out. Have mainstream figures ever apologized for the Hatecraft that was run around books like Gender Queer? Nope; there hasn’t been any accounting. That too was run by the Clintons. The left is in complete shock. Most are still stuck in denial. But let me make this real blunt: the majority of America does not care anymore. The BlueAnon mythology that held all of this together has busted. The bubble has popped! No, we aren’t required to bow down to any of your demands or dogma. And yes, we certainly have the right to draw lines and assert our own. We’re going to make being conservative in this country cool again. And there is absolutely nothing that Team Progress can do about that. The “bleeding hearts” will need to completely rethink and retool. The days of “You are a <enter Hatecraft here>” because we don’t agree are over. No, you are siloed in an insular ideological movement that wears many clothes, including TDS and MAGA for the more buttoned-up types. Your political party was never saving democracy. You were being propagandized horribly and herded for a pretextual purpose. And I no longer care what you have to say IF all you’re going to do is smear and attack with these same academic gimmicks and language games. The left is going to have to talk policy again, not badger it through with name-calling and faux moral-superiority. And can they? Write a list in your head of the Progress(ive) agenda. How many of those can be sold if we’re honestly breaking down the nuts and bolts? How many were only advancing because of Hatecraft and capture? I have a hard time finding any. The left can pivot and houseclean now, or it can be left behind. But the top-down coercion based on this morality-binary, the notion of Team Progress having a raging electoral mandate held back only by an oppressive Electoral College is now an empty position. That game is over.
