Most of what gets called atheism is in fact informal, intuitional religion criticizing established, institutional religion. People still believe *something,* so they fill the gap with all sorts of things.

The origins of "biphobia" are even more twisted than you realize: it was originally aimed at the lesbians and gays for not including them in their organizing. Bisexuality has always been a contested term. Dr. Michael Biggs (IIRC) only established evidence for the existence of bisexuality in men as a psychological-physiological reality *LAST YEAR.* We're waiting to see a published paper that either replicates, or fails to replicate, his results.

To your point, atheism is super low globally, maybe 5%, and losing steam. Of course, US activist journalists state "atheism is growing" all the time.

As a pastor (the traditional type without pronouns), I’m reflecting on this as I prepare to preach on our most holy day (I saw the post on Twitter). This is spot on.

Happy Easter to you! I hope it was a good one.

I do have one additional thought for you (I am the normal kind of pastor after all- the type that truly believes that he rose in flesh and now is Lord of all). The time is coming when you need to move from skeptic to part of the redeemed! Don’t just raise the kids on the faith! Join the faith! Sorry, the pastor in me can’t help it!

That said, I found this to be incredibly helpful. Keep up the good work, and may God continue to give you wisdom as you do your work! I’m glad to have stumbled across your work!

Powerful words coming from you, good sir. Words very much echoed by our priest at Mass today. It would warm your heart to have seen the size of the crowd there; the 3rd Mass held today. The energy in St. Augustine was electric! I noted there was a significant % of people who did not go to receive Communion. A higher % than usual. I thought that told a particularly notable story when you combine it with what looked like record-shattering crowds.

Thanks again for your kind words and support. It means a lot to me. I'm glad our paths have crossed. Thank you for being so understanding and welcoming. Together we will build this bridge and get our nation back on track. I grow more optimistic by the day. These exchanges fuel that tremendously. Happy Easter!
